Join Philly Tech Sistas and TechGirlz for this free Mother/daughter coding workshop in honor of Mother’s Day! As we all get used to our new normal, we want to celebrate ways in which this pandemic can bring us closer together. We’re going to make it a family affair during this workshop as coding duos will pair up to build a website.
Who is this for?
This workshop is for Mothers, fathers, parents/guardians, or special relatives and young girls of Middle school age, grades 5-10. Each girl must attend with an adult.
What we'll learn
Did you ever wonder how websites are made? Have you ever wanted to make your own website? Making a website is easier than you may think. In this workshop, students will learn the elements of HTML and CSS and use them to create a website. Using a text editor and web browser, students will edit web page templates and use them to make their own website.
Location
This free event will be virtual. A zoom link will be sent to those who register.

We do this by providing coding workshops and professional development events that build leadership, confidence, and community.
